Marketing Strategy is about attempting the impossible - trying to control the seemingly uncontrollable behaviour of an organisation's sales.

This course shows participants how to estimate the size of a particular market, how it splits-up into segments against various fundamental bases (such as user demographics or psychographics), which market segment(s) to chose and how to position a company's offerings, operations and culture to really profit from such choices.

Elementary Negotiation Strategy Course

Negotiating a major contract, alliance or acquisition can be a very daunting experience for any manager.  Sadly, some negotiators enter into negotiations eager to deploy an arsenal of hard bargaining tactics (as though they were buying a second-hand car) and find it prevents real gains and benefits being achieved.

Our Elementary Negotiation Course trains executives how to understand what the other negotiating party is likely to want (using Utility Theory) which leads to making a more relevant opening offer as well as potentially achieving a better bargain than either party envisioned from the outset.

The Course also helps Managers to know when and how to 'signal' and 'trade-off' more effectively.

Elementary Finance for Non-Finance Managers Course

This course delves into the basics of appraising business projects from a finance perspective using IRR and NPV calculations - essential for deciding which course of action a company should take and/or where to allocate its capital.

The relationship between earnings, profit and cashflow is considered as well as the topic of risk.  

The course then considers the decision-making process of assessing how to decide on which capital structure would be most effective for a company, how to make borrowing decisions and how to set a dividend policy.

Applied Corporate Strategy I - International Business Strategy Course

International trade is one the growth routes of a Business & Corporate Strategy.  Our course will reveal the value-adding rationale behind international business.  It will then consider organisational frameworks and how to chose among them in different circumstances in order to achieve competitive advantages.

The course will then demonstrate the commercial risks involved with international business as well as how to analyse international commercial environments, including culturally, legally and politically.

Our course then teaches international financial arrangements, including foreign payments and exchange risk management.

Applied Corporate Strategy II - M&A and Strategic Alliances Course

A major strategic lever in growing a company is through mergers and acquisitions (M&A).  This course sets out the reasons for M&A and develops a framework to assess whether a potential M&A will actually reap the benefits expected or even fail completely.

The course also considers valuation methods and develops a M&A implementation plan.

The course then analyses whether a different form of partnership would be more effective, such as a strategic alliance, joint venture or licensing.
